Role at Emerson:

Kathy develops integrated estate planning and wealth management strategies for Emerson clients.  She advises clients on techniques to grow and preserve their wealth, transfer wealth to heirs and establish charitable legacies while working closely with our client’s separate tax advisors and estate planning attorneys.

Experience:

Prior to joining Emerson, Kathy was a vice-president at U.S. Trust Private Wealth Management and the former State Street Global Advisors, where she specialized in estate and financial planning for high net worth investors and their families.  Kathy also practiced in the Trusts & Estates Department of the law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart, in Boston, Massachusetts where she drafted estate planning documents and counseled clients on a variety of sophisticated estate planning matters. She is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Boston Estate Planning Council. Kathy is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School where she was a member of the Boston College Law Review.  She is also a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College (BA, Psychology).
